I went to Burning Man last year (my photos here and here!) and it was one of the most uplifting experiences I have ever had. I came away from there with such a positive feeling. I knew where I wanted to go in my life. I knew who I loved and who I wanted to share things with just by being there.

I also got to be a part of a kick ass artist collective there called MIZARU which means, “see no evil”. They drove a bus from Brooklyn to Nevada and built an interactive art installation for Burning Man. I got to see them put this together, and watch it bring magic to everyone who stepped into the box.

This is a short documentary I made about it. Please watch and tell me what you think. And if you’re going to Burning Man this year, look for their new installation, and bring loads of chapstick as your gift.

It was a pleasure to help Thom Browne with this. ALS is a scary disease that leaves those diagnosed and their families feeling powerless. It affected a special person I knew and it was difficult to handle for their whole family. I’m glad these challenges are happening. They’re fun but they’re also getting closer to figuring out a cure.

This was the most scenic and beautiful trip I have ever been on. The worst part about it was having to end the trip and say goodbye to everyone all over again. I’ll never forget seeing the Nord boys grinning as they rode across the Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy and Happy Hunting!
